So it's been a bit harder to keep this blog updated than what I originally thought but I'm trying. Life has been so busy but fun at the same time. I love it.

Anthony's birthday just passed. He had his party at Boondock's. The kids had so much fun. It's nice to have his party there because the kids get unlimited laser tag for 3 hours, they get tokens to play video games, and they get pizza and drinks. The best part of all is that I don't have to do any clean up afterwards, and the kids can run wild there. Anthony's fall soccer season is over. Omar did such a great job coaching. The team was undefeated. YEAH!!! But we weren't keeping score...hee hee hee.

Camren is growing up so fast. He's nine months already...can you believe it! He's crawling all over the place and he thinks it's funny to try to crawl away from me as fast as he can. He's walking along the furniture. One of his teeth finally decided to cut through. It's a sharp tooth. I know because he grabs my finger to bite on and it hurts. I don't know how much he weighs yet. He has a well baby visit coming up. For those of you who weren't happy that we chopped all of Camren's curls don't worry cuz they are back.

Yesterday was Halloween and Camren and Anthony had fun trick or treating...well Anthony had more fun than Camren. Anthony was a ninja and Camren was a lion. I was a witch. Anthony took off his costume before I could take a picture of him and wouldn't put it back on...oh well, but I took some really cute ones of Camren. Anthony was excited that he got lots of yummy candy, but it was Camren that was on the prowl for candy when we got home. We all had fun.

It's gate time

Camren loves his brother so much that when Anthony was playing on the stairs today, Camren decided he would climb up the stairs to play with his big brother. Camren knows how to climb up the stairs. How crazy is that? Of course he didn't climb up them without supervision. I was right behind him the entire time. However, it is definitely time to get gates so that he doesn't try to climb them without me. I just can't believe how fast my little baby is growing up. When Omar got home from work today we had him climb up the stairs so Omar could witness it. He was impressed.

So much has happened since the last time I wrote. Let's see where do I begin....

Anthony has had 4 soccer games and he has won 3 and tied 1. The team is doing awesome. Omar is doing a wonderful job of coaching. It's sad, but one of the better players on our team has broken his arm and will be out for the rest of the season. But...that just means the other kids have to step it up a little more. They won the last game without that player so I think the team will do fine. GO EAGLES!!! Anthony was STAR student of the month for responsibility at his school. We are so proud of him. He was awarded a certificate and received a t-shirt. He is doing awesome in school. His teacher just raves about how smart he is. (He takes after his mom). Anthony has joined Cub Scouts. It sounds like a lot of work, but I think it's going to be good for Anthony and keep him busy so he doesn't get bored. Anthony's 8th birthday is coming up. Can you believe it? I can't. It seems like it was just yesterday that he was a baby. He is growing up way too fast.

Camren is still scooting. He's a quick little boy. He thinks it's funny when I call his name and he will look at me and tries to scoot away from me as fast as he can. He's been teething lately. I swear I can see outlines of 2 bottom teeth. For all who know him...you know he hasn't been sleeping the greatest through the night since he had his ear infection (even though he doesn't have one anymore). Well, a couple of weeks ago, he got a cold. He's been pretty snotty (YUCK!). So, he started waking up every 30 minutes to 1 hour during the night. It sucked. He also was more cranky than usual, so I took him to the doctor to make sure he didn't have an ear infection. He does not have an ear infection, but he does have fluid in his ears. That's how Anthony started when he was a baby and hardly ever had ear infections, but had the fluid in there for so long he ended up having a mild hearing loss due to the fluid. Anthony ended up having tubes placed. I hope Camren is not following in big brother's footsteps. We'll see. Camren is now pulling himself up to a standing position. He even went to the stairs and tried putting his leg on the 1st step. I guess it's time to shop for gates. He keeps us on our toes. For those of you who said we should have left Camren's curls, don't fret because his hair is growing very fast and his curls are back.

My niece Miya is also playing soccer this year. It's so cute to see her playing. She is so cute period. I unfortunately have only been able to see 1 game. Hopefully I will be able to see another game this season.
Omar is still working hard and going to school. I don't miss those days. I have been working a few more hours. I've also been trying to volunteer once a week at Anthony's school. I love being a mom!
My brother, David, has been living with us since June. It's going ok. We have had our ups and downs (mostly ups). He's going to school and working. He better be doing good in school. He's a big goof. He's a bit lazy...what am I saying...he's really lazy, but he's my brother what can I say. Don't know how long he'll be living with us but we'll try to make the best out of it.
Well, I think that's all for now. I will try to be better at keeping you updated. Have a great week!

1ST DAY OF SCHOOL

Today was Anthony's 1st day of school. He seemed to be a little nervous to be starting the 2nd grade, but excited as well. It's always a bit sad for me when I drop him off on the first day of school cuz my baby is growing up...way too fast.

1st Soccer Practice

Friday was Anthony's 1st soccer practice of the season. What's so exciting this season is that Omar is the coach. This will be his 1st time coaching. Omar is going to have his hands full with work, school, and soccer coach but it will be good for him. Omar and Anthony can have fun together this soccer season. Anthony is thrilled to have his daddy coaching. We'll see how it goes. The first game is in 2 weeks. Our team name is Eagles. GO EAGLES!

Scooting

Camren started scooting around on Wednesday (8/15/07). It is so exciting. He is definitely moving around. Time to baby proof the house. It's fun to watch him scoot around. He pushes himself with his feet and tends to drag his face on the ground. I tried attaching a video of him scooting but it couldn't. My boys are growing up too fast.

Haircut

We cut Camren's hair for the first time (technically) last month, but it was only a little trim. On Friday (8/17/07) we decided to cut quite a bit of Camren's hair.

BEFORE...

Are you ready for this??? Don't be shocked. We cut off all of his curls. Omar was thinking Camren was looking like a mushroom head...a cute one of course. Ok...here it goes...

AFTER...
